Description: Up for sale is this great and very rare antique peg oil lamp with wonderful yellow swirl glass pegged font. Peg lamps were created to fit inside existing bases, such as candlesticks, for ease of conversion use. The lamp we are selling, from the mid 1800's or so, fits inside a brass push up type candlestick (included). It has a wonderful swirl pattern glass body. The peg lamp itself measures about 6 1/2 inches tall. It does not have its original chimney. The brass candlestick measures about 11 1/2 inches tall. When put together, the set measures a total of about 16 3/4 inches tall. The set seems to be in nice condition (see accurate pictures). Nice antique age patina to brass parts.
