Description: Antique/Vintage 1920s Spotted Lace, Ivory Border Fabric Piece, W 346cm, L 77cm Unused RAREThis is a piece of genuine antique, previously unused fabric. It is part of a collection which dates from the 1920s or possibly earlier when my great grandfather owned a drapery shop. A piece of beautiful border lace/net which was presumably intended for a skirt overlay considering the fashions at the time. The fabric is either satin or rayon with a very fine strengthening cotton thread in the weave. It is soft to the touch and has only slight stiffness. There are fourteen rows of spots (20cm apart) which decrease in size as they reach the bottom border edge which is scalloped.
