This plant was incorrectly marketed as Homalomena Purple Sword for a very brief period or time, but its actual name is Apoballis acuminatissima 'Lavallaei' This is truly one magnificent plant which has been doing very well for us here in South Florida which can get up to 12 inches tall or even larger under ideal tropical conditions. It is very easy to grow, just remember it is a tropical plant so it likes it warm and humid. Plants should be kept damp at all times, NEVER soaking wet. For best results plants should be grown in partial shade. PLEASE NOTE, OUR GROWING MIX IS FORMULATED FOR SOUTH FLORIDA WHERE THE PLANTS GET A HUGE AMOUNT OF FRESH AIR.
