Description: Recovered from AquaCal TropiCal T90 Pool Heat Pump. The heat pump was purchased directly from a local AquaCal dealer in May 2022. Saw one season of use in 2023. The heat pump suffered a refrigerant failure this Spring; AquaCal confirmed a small number of units were produced with undersized copper, causing the refrigerant lines to cleanly separate from the crimp connections on the heat exchanger. I don’t have any HVAC expertise to evaluate for damage, but it looks fine; the titanium stub from the side that failed doesn’t even have a scratch on it. The heat pump worked perfectly up until the day of refrigerant failure. Including the mounting hardware and PVC connections. Please contact me if your shipping estimate looks unusually expensive, I can check other brokers. Can also personally deliver to most places in Northeast (located in Rhode Island, willing to venture as far as southern Maine and NJ/NY).
