This Power Filter comes equipped with all the necessary filter media to ensure superior filtration. The PFE-6 hang-on-back filter utilizes a filtration chamber system with two replaceable filter cartridges enhanced with Aquatopís premium Activated Carbon and dual Bio-cartridges. The Bio-cartridges have a maximum surface-area for your beneficial bacteria to colonize, removing harmful ammonia. This model includes a built-in surface skimmer. How does the FORZA PFE-6 work? As water passes through the dual density pad, larger debris is mechanically filtered from your water. Next, it passes through our premium activated carbon inserts where it goes through the chemical filtration process allowing the carbon to remove discoloration, odors, and other impurities from your aquarium water. The final stage, bio grid, provides beneficial bacteria to convert ammonia and nitrite to less harmful nitrate. For best results, replace the premium activated cartridges monthly.
