As always, Please use the Pictures as your judge as grading is subjective. Notes:Miletos (or Miletus) was a major ancient coastal city of Ionia in Asia Minor along the Latmic gulf. It was founded in the 10th century BC. This once great commercial city was, with the exception perhaps of Sardes, the earliest place of mintage of the ancient world. In the 6th century BC, Miletus was a site of origin of the Greek philosophical and scientific tradition, when Thales, followed by Anaximander and Anaximenes (known collectively, to modern scholars, as the Milesian school), began to speculate about the material constitution of the world, and to propose speculative naturalistic (as opposed to traditional, supernatural) explanations for various natural phenomena. We have on the authority of Herodotus the attribution to the Lydians with the invention of coining money, but must have been quickly followed by Miletus where a number of electrum coins of primitive style must be assigned, more especially those which bear the type of a lion with his head turned backwards, this being the characteristic type of the later coinage of Miletus.
