Description: Vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling Silver Bead Necklace have come across a lot of silver bead necklaces yet this one from the 1950s is stand out for the length, the size of the graduated beads, and the patina. This necklace was made by a silver workshop in Taxco, Mexico, which we know by the hallmarkTs 115 MEXICO 925 MADE BY arenas Taxco Mexico workshop Both Mexican and Native American silversmiths produced this style of necklace; those produced by Native Americans were called "Navajo Pearls." This is one of the prettiest and silver bead necklaces I've had the honor of selling. The beads are all benchmade, and we can see the very slight horizontal seam where the two cups were soldered together. Wear alone or use for a large pendant with a big bale and/or a shepherds hook, which you can clip right onto the silver chain onto which the beads are strung. The clasp is interlocking and carries the workshop hallmark, I purchased the necklace from the previous owner, who is aging and selling off part of his collection, but this is one that was continuously worn and so while there is tarnish, I would not do a thing to remove any of the patina.
