Description: Excellent collection of Aretha's first jazz and pop recordings for Columbia Records, before her Atlantic hits. All from 1960, when she was literally only 18 years old--but she was already totally in control of her amazing voice and talent. These were all originally singles; but then Columbia put them together as an LP, her first for them. This is basically a reissue of that album, just called "Aretha", with the Ray Bryant combo. Some jazz, some pop--she does a beautiful rendition of Over The Rainbow. Vinyl is in VG+ condition; sounds great, looks nice and glossy. We play tested most of it and didn't hear any problems. Jacket is VG+: only the lightest of wear and a price sticker. We send LPs via USPS media mail, very safely packed. We can send up to 5-6 albums in one box, at base $6 shipping price plus $1 for each additional disc. We play test most of our albums and our grading reflects that. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
