Description: Aristea ecklonii A wonderful Iris relative from South Africa with bright green, 2-foot tall, iris-like foliage, and 1 inch, bright lavender-blue flowers; each flower is short-lived, but the flowers are continuously produced, from spring to fall, in mild climates. Likes clay to loam, with good moisture and regular feeding. Excellent in pots! Please note: In mild climates it tends to easily reseed, and can become almost invasive... so please plant responsibly, or remove flower stalks before going to seed. The second flower picture was taken in front of an Acacia elata, and the foliage seen is that of the Acacia. Also... the color of the flowers is more the color of the first flower photo. This offering is for one very nice, blooming-size, multi-lead division. Shipped bareroot, with roots wrapped in moss and paper. I have been growing rare and exotic plants for nearly 50 years, and take great pride in what I grow and ship. All photos are of plants in my own garden and collection (unless stated otherwise).
