Description: Description of item for sale: This beautifully hand carved statue of Saint Augustine is from France and it dates to the mid/late-1800's. It's made from solid oak. Overall this statue is in very good antique condition with minor scratches and chips as would be expected. It was originally painted but the paint is very heavily patinated and discolored. Please note the repair on one hand where a screw has been used to fasten the hand to the arm (see photos). We will fill the repair and blend it with the wood when it arrives and before shipping. Also note minor separation of the wood along a seam on the back. (see photos). When this statue arrives here at our Oregon facility we will inspect, clean and wax as needed prior to shipping to you.
