It's possible this was a jar that had a lid but I'm not certain. Certainly can be used as a vase. Made in Belgium, pattern # D187, clearly marked on the bottom, measures 8 1/2" high x 6 1/2" wide overall. Lovely floral & leaf pattern with birds and bees.
