Description: This beautiful cobalt blue and gilt gold teapot is attributed to Arthur Wood - see bottom stamp. It was manufactured in England as indicated on the bottom stamp and impression in the bottom. Please view pictures. I believe it falls into the 1930s time frame. The condition of this pot is excellent The blue is strong and not faded or missing anywhere. The gold coloring is also strong and is consistent throughout the piece. The inside is very clean as if it has rarely been used. I do not see any crazing in the finish outside or inside. There are no chips, fleabites or cracks on the lid, handle, spout or body. Just a beautiful piece from an elegant past era to add to a collection and enjoy or use. After viewing pictures on the listing it appears as there might be chips on the inside hexagonal corners of the lid but rest assure there are not. It is a little of the cobalt blue coloring along the edge coming over to the corners probably during manufacturing process.
