Description: Assassinated President Wm McKinley Portrait Political Campaign Pin Lapel Button This is an antique William McKinley campaign lapel button that measures 3/4" diameter x 1/4" tall. The front features a portrait of McKinley and reads, "Wm McKinley". The item is celluloid top with metal backing. The metal is rusty as you can see. The celluloid has cracking and discoloration. McKinley was 25th US President from 1897 to 1901 when he was assassinated while in office. I don't know if this item is from the 1897 or 1901 campaign.
