Description: Charming 1000 pc jigsaw puzzle by Springbok, a Hallmark label. Vintage from the 1970s. Missing two pieces. Someone has creatively crafted substitute pieces; see photos. Puzzle pieces and box are in good condition for their age. Artist Alton Langford also created the characters for the Ranger Rick magazines. It is an easy puzzle in that the pieces are easily found by looking at the box, but it is a difficult puzzle in that some edge pieces turn out NOT to be edge pieces, and some that look like non-edge pieces turn out to actually be edge pieces. Typical sturdy thick pieces as you would expect from Springbok puzzles. This is the type of puzzle that has to be "taken" apart. Pieces fit snugly and in unusual ways. Full of surprises and magical moments as you assemble this fantasy seen complete with merry-go-round, kissing booth, tea table, and boat rides. Simply charming. We are down-sizing or I would not part with it. Inside the box, I have bagged the pieces from the left and right sides of the puzzle.
