Description: Atelier Reflex Primar large format SLR camera for 9x12cm film sheets Made in Kamera Werke Gorlitz, Germany (formerly known as Curt Bentzin factory) [Quite similar construction to Graflex RB Series D/Super D single lens reflex large format focal plane shutter cameras with revolving back] This set in such cosmetic/technical condition and with these accesories is an absolute rarity: * with two rare and sought after Meyer Görlitz TRIOPLAN large format lenses [based on legendary Cooke-Triplet design]: 3.5/210mm V (coated) 4.5/300mm uncoated * with four genuine 9x12cm double sheet wooden film holders, which are difficult to obtain along with this camera nowadays * with original ground glass plate Cosmetically in clean condition. There is average wear from normal use, especially to the leatherette, but nothing excessive. No damages, dents, cracks etc. Generally in excellent condition considering its age, all genuine factory parts are there. Mechanically the camera seems to be working well, although I have not tested it with film, as this was a part of the collection. But looks to me that it is operational in current condition and ready to shoot [SEE VIDEO ATTACHED]. Focal plane shutter is firing on all settings, except for „B” (where it does not hold). Accuracy has not been tested, but the the differences between subsequent speeds are clearly detectable. When shining through with the flashlight in the darkroom, I did not find any light leaks in shutter fabric nor bellows. Mirror and focusing screen are both OK, the mechanism for the mirror up/down setting is fully operational. Hood pops up and folds down as expected, focusing works, tilt and shift mechanisms work, film holders lock in place and can be removed normally. Revolving back is working properly, you can turn it in both vertical and horizontal orientation. Optical condition of lenses: 3.5/210: - absolutely fantastic glass for the lens' age. Apart from minor dust, I can't see any flaws (no scratches, haze, fungus or separation) when looking through with the flashlight. Aperture blades work normally and have minimal traces of oil on them. External housing condition is more than excellent, smallest possible traces of use, if any. Comes with genuine Meyer front lens cap 4.5/300: - dust inside the optics, as well as couple of air bubbles present (typical manufacturing feature of vintage optics production) and two small (1-3mm) scratches on the rear glass that shall not influence imaging. No haze, fungus or separation. Dry aperture blades working normally. ------------------Shipping costs are inclusive of full insurance, and especially outside Europe will be quite high.
