Description: Locomotive is in excellent condition. Late model motor with updated commutator. Very little wear and nothing broken. Finish is near perfect. Completely cleaned and carefully lubricated. Runs well forward and reverse, as well as these ever ran. Lamp works. Good brush material remains. Zamac frame shows no signs of corrosion or weakness. Traction tires appear original but not worn out. Coaches are in fair to good condition. Baggage (Arnold by Rivarossi), two coaches and caf/observation (Lima). All made in Italy. Wheels cleaned and replaced as needed due to corrosion. If you've read this far you are probably familiar with these. If not, do not expect modern performance. These were revolutionary for their time but by thr early 1990s were surpassed by far superior models from Japan. Still, these are fine models and when maintained perform at a grade B level. Somewhat noisy and slow speed operation is temperamental at best. Cases for each piece of the set included. Not original boxes.
