Description: This is a 440MLB cartridge which was the precursor to the current 540ml model. It features a tapered aluminum cantilever and microridge diamond. This cart is fantastic for getting every last drop from your records. It does have one advantage over the current 540ml. the 440mlb will track at 1.25 grams versus the 2 grams necessary for the current Audio Technica lineup. This means you will get hundreds more hours with this cartridge. Depending on your usage, this could last you years. After that, the current vmn40ml will work as a replacement. I am not the original owner of this cart, but the original owner described this as having 50 hours tops. After purchasing, i inspected the diamond using a shure sek-2 microscope to verify the hours. This stylus is close to unused and i have included pictures from top down and face on showing the ridges. I have put no hours on this since purchasing. The only thing it has played while in my possession is a 2 minute frequency response sweep for testing. Everything is in top order with this cart. will ship insured for full value
