Description: Hello from Vermont!I am selling a Beautiful Authentic HANDCRAFTED African Hand Drum/Bongo. I purchased this from an estate auction. The gentleman lived in Africa for some time- so this piece was handcrafted there- not purchased from an unknown place on a store shelf. The Drum is beautifully covered with Animal hide and has a protruding piece of hide to hook on a belt etc. See Pics. I do not know what type of animal hide it is.It is tight! There is a PEA inside the drum -when you shake it it makes a really nice sound- each end makes a different sound when the pea hits it. It measures: 5-3/4 high x 4-1/8 wide. The bottom width is 2-7/8 inches.Please see all pics. It is very sturdy and you can strike the top with no fear of damage.
