Since 2013, he has been the Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University and Director of Liaoning Provincial Center for Clinical Research on Neurological Diseases. He has published over 250 papers in Science, JAMA, Nature Genetics, Autophagy, Brain and Alzheimers & Dementia and other international journals. He has been awarded 28 research grants, including 3 NIH R0-1 projects. He is a member of the review committee of NIH, VA, INSERM, Singapore Academy of Science, and the Chinese Nature Science Foundation.
