One of the most well-known Tiger tanks among modelers, the S33 tank featured a distinctive two-color camouflage of green stripes over a dark yellow base. It also is known for its distinctive markings, including the gnome-like "Dancing Devil" and Chinese Kanji character for good luck applied upside-down. S33 and other units from "Das Reich" fought a fierce delaying action against Russian T34s, covering the Germany army`s retreat under fire in September 1943. "Das Reich" The 2nd SS Panzer Division "Das Reich" (German: 2. SS-Panzerdivision "Das Reich")[1] was one of 38 divisions of the Waffen-SS of Nazi Germany during World War II. Das Reich served during the invasion of France and took part in several major battles on the Eastern Front, including in the Battle of Prokhorovka against the 5th Guards Tank Army at the Battle of Kursk. It was then transferred to the West and took part in the fighting in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, ending the war in Hungary and Austria. Das Reich committed the Oradour-sur-Glane and Tulle massacres.
