B C Rich Model B-38 Natural Acoustic Guitar from the mid 1970's w/ gig bag B.C

Description: B C Rich Model B-38 Natural Acoustic Guitar from the mid 1970's w/ gig bag B.C> Description This great dreadnought size B.C. Rich Model B-38 is from the early 1970’s and it carries the serial number 407487. This very cool old B.C. Rich flattop is extremely well made with solid bookmatched Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, a natural Spruce top with Ivoroid binding, herrinbone center trim in the back, a Pearl “R” in the headstock. I don’t know much at all about these, but the only two I ever found was one that sold about 9 years ago for $4800.00 and one that is currently listed on Reverb for $9,500.00. This one has quite a bit of finish checking, a tiny, tiny amount of bellying on the top, a chip out of the wood at the back of the heel cap, and some minor playwear on the neck, but it is in otherwise pretty darn good condition. Since I have no idea what these are really worth, I am selling it at a price just slightly below what the other one I saw that sold 9 years ago went for and way beow what the other one currently for sale is listed for. However, we are here to sell and we are not a museum, so if you like it, make us your best offer and we will consider it. We are selling it in the heavy aftermarket gig bag we got it in but I am sure we could find a case to put it in if we end up shipping it. It has been unplayed since it was gone over and has sat in the collection of Mr. Mike Hale until we purchased it to offer for sale today. Michael was a fixture in the Jazz community, a large collector of amazing Jazz guitars and a frequent contributor to JazzGuitar.be under his user name BigMikeinNJ. Due to recent health setbacks, Mike sold his entire collection to us and we will be offering 70 of the finest Jazz guitars made over the next several months. We are selling this guitar as a pickup only item at our store in Harrisonville, Mo. , but we can ship it for the actual discounted cost that we pay to ship it through UPS, but the buyer would be responsible for the shipping cost, and also would be responsible for the shipping cost if they decide to send it back. Because of the great rates we get, we can ship the guitar for under $35.00 to most of the U.S., BUT the major cost of shipping on this would be the insurance, which would add another $90.00 or so to the price of shipping. Since you are choosing the shipping, you would choose the amount to insure it for, but if it gets damaged in shipping, that would also be on you, so we reccomend insuring it for the full sale price.
