Description: Up for auction is this Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP) Souvenir Card to commemorate the 1990 Denver Westex Coin and Stamp Show in Denver, Colorado. The Souvenir Card features the reverse of a $2.00 Treasury Note, Series 1890. This BEP Souvenir Card was stamped and postal cancelled at the Bureau Of Engraving And Printing Visitor’s Center, in Washington D.C on September 21, 1990. The overall size of BEP Souvenir Card is 8 inches x 10 inches. The ornate green banknote reverse is printed in Intaglio, as the printing ink has a embossed raised surface, and there is evidence of a printing impression on the back of this card stock. The title area “1890’s An American Renaissance Bureau of Engraving and Printing” was hot stamped in silver foil. The remaining green copy on this card, appear to be printed Offset Lithography. The actual printing plates that were used to produce the $2.00 Treasury Note reverse were also used on this card. This BEP Souvenir Card is in Mint Condition, with no creases, bends, folds or defects. This is a great item to hang on the wall of your office or den, even a great history lesson for the kids!
