MARKED: “8337 Kitty Hawk Bachmann Hong Kong” Model Wingspan 4.5”=40.3’=1:100 Length 21’ One Propeller is glued into place and will not spin. Stand not included. The ‘Wright Flyer’ first successful ‘heavier-than-air’ flights occurred on Dec. 17, 1903 at Kitty Hawk, N.C. Orville piloted the initial successful flight of 120’. Wilbur then flew 175’, Orville for 200’ - 10’ above the ground. Today it is exhibited at the Smithsonian. The ‘Propeller’ Age would last only until the end of World War II when jet aircraft replaced it. Bachmann Mini Planes - Manufactured during the 1970s - are Vintage Collector’s pieces. Background buildings are ‘N’ scale, figures are ‘HO’ Scale, for photo presentation and perspective and are not included.
