Description: Bees have an astounding sense of smell, hundreds of times stronger than dogs even. It's how they find everything, including their new home during swarming. So after youve gotten them to find your box with LGO or some other swarm scent, they need to be enticed to stay. The more you can get your box to smell like bees, the more likely they are to move in and stay. Drawn comb, especially brood comb, is important, but not absolutely necessary. All cavities were virgin territory once, but if they walk in and it smells used, chances are pretty good, especially if the box is new wood. These baits are made from swedish dish cloth(wood fiber), infused with 100% propolis from my own treatment free hives. You only need a little piece, cut them in as many pieces as you need. Their odor will last pretty much forever to bees. A further note, I use swarm scents very sparingly, pretty much never inside my boxes. All you need is for the bees to find your box and check it out. Its about the box and its contents, youre not really baiting them, but helping them find you. Ive seen tons of photos where the bees just hang on the outside of a box and not enter. A subtle scent is enough. They are homeless after all. I use LGO around the entrance or on the tree or ratchet strap. You get 2- 5X10 pieces of infused swedish dish cloth.
