FrankStovall, faculty member at Southwestern Seminary, is the soloist.4.JESUS IS ALL THE WORLD TO ME (Thompson, am Kaiser)... a forthright acknowledgement depicting the helplessness of manwithout the Savior, the Friend in trials sore, the One who sustainsin times of distress, as well as in times of joy. In a very realsense, the scope of this choir is international. Each singer in the group is a dedicated Christian whoeither has made or plans to make sacred music his or her life’s work.Enthusiastically received by NBC in its first network television appearance on “Frontiers of Faith”, thechoir has made other network appearances on CBS’ “Church of the Air” and NBC’s “Faith in Action”.The “Baptist Hour” broadcast is often termed a home and foreign missionary because of the evangelisticministry it performs in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Alaska, Panama Canal Zone, Canada, Hawaii, and the FarEast. In a sense it is the “official” radio voice for the Southern Baptist Convention, and ministers main-ly to those who are unable to attend church services. It takes the form of a modified worship programof 30-minutes length and is at present broadcast weekly by 460 radio stations in this country and abroad.CHOIR DIRECTORMiss Joe Ann Shelton, who is soloist on the “Baptist Hour” and director of the Baptist Hour Choir, wasborn in Durant, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree at Oklahoma Baptist Universityand her Master of Music Education Degree from North Texas State College.Because of her great talent and her willingness to serve the Lord in any way she can, Joe Ann, a Wordrecording artist in her own right, is in much demand for personal appearances. Meeting these demandsis only part of her many activities, however, as she also serves as Assistant Professor of Voice at South-western Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
