Description: Barber Coleman Barcol 936 Portable Hardness Tester Kit w/NEW Calibration Certificate! Hardness tester is in great working order, and good cosmetic condition. Hardness tester has been checked with both a certified Barcol calibration disc and a metal type D durometer block and was found to be accurate and repeatable at multiple points checked throughout it's range of measurement. Comes with new calibration certificate, will be re-calibrated for you at time of purchase. Cosmetically there are some scratches, scuffs, nicks, dirt and chips in the finish. The bezel on the indicator has some paint and other marks on it. The indicator is in great shape, smooth movement and repeatable, plus the crystal is brand new - just replaced. The case is in decent shape overall. It's a bit dirty, and the foam is starting to go bad, but it still closes and holds everything well. See photos for cosmetic detail. Calibration certificate and sticker will be included for you, calibration being performed at the time of sale. You can pick the ID, calibration cycle/due date, and the name/company of your choosing will go on the certificate. It is NIST traceable but not 17025 accredited. Included with the 936 portable hardness tester in the case are a wrench for adjustment and indenter replacement, a spare indenter (hasn't been tested) that looks new, a couple of rusty/worn spare indents, a xeroxed copy of the owners manual, and the calibration certificate/sticker mentioned above.
