Each coil is powered by hand-bevelled Alnico V magnets with a pair of magnetic poles for each string. The neck coil is slightly narrower than the bridge coil, and RWRP for hum-cancelling with both coils working together. Individually the tone of each coil is bright with precise dynamic attack and exceptional clarity. Low notes are firm and high notes have a positive attack with a bell-like ring; blend both coils together for a deep and warm vintage J Bass tone with full hum-cancelling.
