Description: This is a first-generation COPY of a script from the BATMAN TV series (not a transcript or Photoshop recreation). I believe the original script was owned by the series’ art director, Jack Martin Smith. A copy is being offered here. The script is from the show’s 15th and 16th episodes, “The Joker Goes to School,” and “He Meets His Match, the Grisly Ghoul”. This is the Joker’s second set of episodes in the classic Batman series. They aired on March 2nd and March 3rd in 1966. In the first part, a vending machine gives out money at Woodrow Roosevelt High School and Dick Grayson (Burt Ward) is there to witness it. Batman (Adam West) learns the vending machines are operated by a company bought by the Joker (Cesar Romero). The Joker and his gang are aided by Susie (Donna Loren), a cheerleader at the school. In the course of their investigation, Batman and Robin are captured and placed in electric chairs. If a "one armed bandit" comes up the wrong way, they'll be electrocuted. In the second part, to find out Joker's grand scheme, Robin goes undercover into the teenage delinquent underground. The script's cover has been reproduced in color and an acetate sheet has been added to keep it looking pristine (to be honest, it looks better than the original). The script pages are printed on one side. Great care has been taken to make this a piece that a collector will be proud to own and show off or frame.
