Description: BAUER Pottery Los Angeles RING WARE COBALT BLUE, 6 1/8" BREAD PLATE (#40), MCM You are buying ONE beautiful Bauer cobalt or royal blue bread plate, 6 1/8 inches in diameter. The Pottery Peddler notes these are hard to find. The color is a rich vibrant blue with the classic deco spanish colonial revival ring pattern. It is marked Bauer, Made in U.S.A., Los Angeles. The plate dates from the late 1930s to 1950s (if you can narrow down the period, please let us know). This is the exact plate you are purchasing. It is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or excessive wear. There are a couple of tiny glaze pops on the front, but no noticeable utensil marks (see photo). Please review all pictures as they are part of the description. Because of the shiny glaze, there is quite a bit a reflection on the plates.
