Description: Offered by: Revmax Streetrods For sale is a New High Mount Alternator Bracket Kit for a Big Block Chevy. This is designed to be used with a Short Water Pump, or an Electric Water Pump using a Short Pump Crank Pulley. This bracket assembly bolts to the two factory holes in the front of the head. It positions a standard size (1965-1985) GM alternator outboard of the head and slightly back so the belt will line up with the first groove in the crank pulley (closest to the harmonic balancer). This allows you to use a single, double, or triple groove crank pulley. This is a good looking, solid design, which gets your alternator up and out of the way, clearing the suspension (A-Arms) and frame on 60?s and 70?s full bodied cars. This will be a nice finishing touch for your muscle car. This kit mounts on the Drivers side of the car, and comes with all mounting hardware to solidly mount your alternator. This bracket is CNC machined from ASTM certified 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum. The flat surfaces have a brushed satin finish. Material is produced in the USA. All design work and fabrication, is done in our shop in Northern California. The design of this Bracket requires the use of Grade 8 bolts to mount the bracket to the head. These Armor Coated bolts have a dull silver finish which is highly corrosion resistant, more than Zinc or Galvanized coatings and is significantly stronger than Stainless. The Hardware kit includes the following: (2) Grade 8 Allen head bolts to mount the Brackets to Head (1) Stainless Steel Allen head bolt and stainless locking nut to mount the Alternator to the Brackets.
