A gold handwritten word or name that appears to be "Stine" and the date 1896 also appear. Source: The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, third edition. Design: The gold-trimmed platter features colorful chrysanthemums with raised gold trellises and scrollwork against a background of fine pale blue porcelain that morphs to white. Size: The platter is 12 1/2 inches wide and weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces. Condition: It's in overall excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or significant wear.
