Description: I don't know how to determine if something is Majolica; I do know that this is on a white clay and it is quite beautiful. The six feet that support it are in the form of acorns and the branch on the face of the plate is an oak as there are acorns on that as well. The whole design appears to be hand painted. There are a few spots that are a little rough as shown in the 4th pic where the reddish glaze is either missing or has been rubbed off. The crack as shown in the last pic is a manufacturing flaw. Also the colors in reality are a little brighter. 12 3/4" x 9 3/4". Check pics and enlarge as they are part of the description.
