Description: For your consideration is a Bennington Potters Plaque, measuring 15"x 9.5", featuring a recipe for a French Omelette by Dione Lucas. She was an English Chef, and the first woman to graduate from Le Cordon Bleu. Her career as a chef started in the 30's in Paris, then back to London, where she taught cooking and wrote cookbooks. She moved to Bennington, VT in her later years, and died in 1971. This is a rather crude, but charming, heavy piece of pottery, made in Bennington, Vermont of one of her recipes for a French Omelette. Note the uneven lettering and spacing... I don't know when it was made, but most likely during her life in Bennington. If you appreciate Bennington Pottery, this unique item will be of interest to you.
