The book does have an index in the back and is almost 375 pages in length. Some markings on the FFEP and the rest of the text is primarily free of marks with an occasional pencil notation or two only. There is a small water stain to the inside lower gutter on some of the pages. It is very light. The binding is excellent, the outer hinges are worn, but the binding itself is actually in very good order and feels strong and sturdy.
