Description: This RARE find is a large #5523 Tom Sawyer SLATE OUTFIT with School Slate and unused chalk. Box measures 15 1/2" by 11 1/2" and has 1940 USA printed on front. It has rubs on edges and corners but no splits and bottom corner has some cardboard rubbed off (last photo) but bright and beautiful cover image with faint spot where sticker must have been removed but displays great! Inside has three original crayons unused but cover paper faded. Only one stencil remains and the eraser is missing. The Tom Sawyer Colored Chalk Crayons box is amazing...still attached to box, never removed and has 1940 Toykraft Products printed on the box. Pieces of writing paper below it. The slate is great with some chalk marks on one side but nice and heavy and wood clean. This really is a must-have for collectors of vintage school supplys, perfect for display. I could not find another set like is so it must be very rare! It will be well protected when shipped. Please let me know if you have any questions.
