It features superb color and bold high-relief detail. This is an interesting and attractive piece!The Roman numerals on the reverse side of this piece give the date of 1839. Medal most likely dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. It was designed by the French artist Daniel Dupuis, who live from 1849 to 1899. This example is made of solid bronze. Piece sports a thick plain edge that features a triangular hallmark. This large medal is in Almost Uncirculated condition. It displays high-relief detail and rich lustrous color.
