B/w, 8x10. "Bill" Johnson (1916-1957) performed child roles on Broadway (Shipwrecked, 1924). After performing in vaudeville and in a few films, he returned to Broadway in several musicals, beginning with All in Fun (1940) and ending with Pipe Dream (1956). For the latter, he was nominated for a Tony as Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He died of a heart attack in 1957 at age 40. Saul Goodman (1919-2003), a New York business man by day, pursued his love of film and theatre in the evening, making friends with many celebrities. While other autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with snazzy photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen. Lightly toned around edges. Corners worn and creased.
