Description: Boulder is a home rule city that is the county seat and most populous municipality of Boulder County, Colorado. The city population was 108,250 at the 2020 census. It is located at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, at an elevation of 5,430 feet above sea level. Boulder is 25 miles northwest of the state capital of Denver. Up until 1858, few people from the East Coast had any interest in the area that would one day be the state of Colorado. It was not until the “Pike’s Peak Gold Rush” that settlers came to the region and laid the roots of the town that would become Boulder. It was settled in 1858 and incorporated in 1871. This card is a “Phostint” published by the “Detroit Publishing Co.” and was postmarked 1908 in Longmont Colorado. It chronicles “Boulder Colorado” with the Rocky Mountains in the background. The card has bent upper left corner and some small damage to the other corners but is otherwise in good condition overall with a clean, clear image. The reverse has a message, is addressed and is clean.
