Pharaoh is a fuzz pedal that has its roots in classic fuzz and has been created with some modifications. It uses a well-established board layout and is equipped with a dual tone control that allows for a variety of clipping switches input impedance switches and a variety of tones. It supports a wide range of settings from a tone close to a clean boost to a treble boost and high gain fuzz all of which produce clear natural strong and thick tones. It does not hijack the guitar sound and does not destroy the tone of the amp. Pharaoh is equipped with two tone controls TONE and HIGH. The tone circuit minimizes volume loss and achieves a natural tone. For example even if you turn down the TONE and emphasize the lows you can output the top end firmly with the HIGH knob. Pharaoh has a very strong midrange and an overall flat response. Therefore it does not add any unnecessary color to the tone of the guitar and amp. Since it does not add extreme boost or cut to the guitar sound you can adjust the tone with the guitar amp even when the fuzz is applied. The Fuzz knob adjusts the gain. Just like a tube amp the Hi/Lo input switch on the top of the pedal also allows you to vary the gain. Lo mode produces a high headroom low gain fuzz sound while Hi mode produces less headroom and higher gain. The Diode Selector switch also allows you to choose between silicon and germanium diode clipping diodes. Germanium diode clipping is asymmetric clipping. Flipping the switch to the GE side produces germanium diode clipping which produces high gain low volume and headroom and a warm tone. Flipping to the SI side produces powerful distortion. With the switch in the center you get high volume high headroom and low gain.
