Solid wood 3.5'' wide and 1.5'' thick molding with a 0.25'' deep rabbet is covered with a thin layer of gesso and painted flat black (meaning, not shiny, matte finish). Though the frame indeed looks as simple as it gets, designing this molding actually took a lot of time and effort - proportions had to be chosen really carefully, as a difference of only one sixteenth of an inch is what makes the frame beautiful. We take care of shipping, handling, and insurance charges, offering you a flat per item price. SHIPPING METHODS: We ship UPS Ground only. This is done for your convenience, as it allows for tracking packages, seeing where the package is at any point and when it is expected to arrive to you. Naturally, we always forward a tracking number to each buyer as soon as the package ships out. An average transit time is 4 days; however, we do not guarantee it, as it is beyond our control and varies depending on your location. HANDLING DAMAGES: Though glass is a tricky item to ship, as it is obviously fragile, we generally have very little damages (an average of 0.8 percent). This is due to the special care we exercise and the use of expensive packaging material; each damage is an inconvenience to you and a direct loss to us, so we do our absolute best to avoid them. However, if your package turns out to be the unlucky one, just let us know. We have special arrangements with UPS, handling damages fast and easy. All you need to do is let us know of the problem and leave the package outside. You'll receive a new frame in a few days and won't have to worry about anything else. PROCESSING SPEED: We believe that speed is an important component of performance and see no reason to delay your order, once payment received. We guarantee it will be shipped out the next business day (if you place your order overnight, it would be the next morning, in just a few hours). Therefore, if you'd like to make any changes or adjustments to your order, please let us know ASAP, so we can still catch it before it ships out. By the same token, we're very understanding of any payment issues, but we ask you to let us know about them, as we're processing hundreds of orders and have a routine for unpaid items; if you don't want to be involved in it, please contact us to work out a solution. RETURN POLICIES: We accept returns for any reason or no reason at all.
