Description: BLOB TOP BEER-SODA 1880s WEST CHESTER, PA. This West Chester Bottling Works was located at 132 E. Gay St. in West Chester, Pa. A nice tall 8 7/8 inch light green with a beautiful elongated bubble in blob-top very neatly applied. The slug plate embossing is very bold with the word “REGISTERED” beneath at base. The back side has “THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD”. The base is indented with the “6 or a 9” which is probably a mold number depending on which way you hold it. This appears to be clean with traces of haze from age and being buried for so many years. There are no cracks but was apparently struck with a probe when unearthed and has a tiny base chip, see last 2 photos. This does not show when displayed. Old bottles that have a street address are very desirable and makes one wonder what now stands at the address. Hope you may like to add this one to your collection. Thanks David
