Description: This auction is for two (2) issues associated with the Blue Beetle character and are published by DC Comics. The first issue is a Near Mint copy of issue #4 from the 7th Blue Beetle series that ran for thirty-six (36) issues, starting in 2006 and has Jaime Reyes taking over the mantle of Blue Beetle after the death of Ted Kord, the second Blue Beetle at the hands of Maxwell Lord in the Infinite Crisis Event. It is written by Keith Giffen and John Rogers with interior art by Cully Hamner and a cover by Duncan Rouleau with Oracle checking out the new Blue Beetle. Reyes comes into possession of the powerful Blue Beetle Scarab which he continues to research on his computer which attracts the attention of Oracle. After turning down Oracle's invitation to join the Birds Of Prey, the new Blue Beetle continues his search for the man who shot his father. This issue also have the first appearance of the Diviner as well as guest appearances by Black Canary and Peacemaker. This series has become a hot property after the announcement of the upcoming Blue Beetle movie, starring Cobra Kai actor, Xolo Mariduena, as Jaime Reyes and co-starring George Lopez and possibly Susan Sarandon or Sharon Stone as the villainess, Victoria Kord. I am also including issue #12 from the 5th Blue Beetle series that ran for twenty-four (24) issues in the mid-1980's. It is written by Len Wein, the co-creator of Wolverine and Swamp Thing and Joey Cavalieri with art by Paris Cullins and has Ted Kord stuck in a fight between the New Teen Titans and the team started by Mento known as Hydrid. Even though the Blue Beetle tries to avoid the battle and not join a side, he is eventually drug into it. This issue has the villain Prometheus joining the Hybrid team as well as the first appearance of Garrison Slate, an aspiring scientist that will create S.T.A.R. Labs.
