All of my speakers are completely ready to play when you receive them with nothing else needed. These speakers are perfect for the beach, fishing, or just hanging out. They sound great, are really loud, and play for a long time on a single charge. Each speaker has its own built-in lithium battery power supply and bluetooth amplifier built in. The waterproof illuminated power switch as well as the waterproof charging port is on the outside of the box, so you don't need to open the box for anything unless you want to adjust the bass/ treble controls on the bluetooth amplifier. I do pre-adjust these controls with my reference audio material before shipping for best overall sound. I am a one man shop and take great pride in my electronics.
