In the event that the DME cannot be cloned you will need to have a matching donor DME programmed to the vehicle by injecting the donor DME ISN into your CAS module. The donor DME will work in your vehicle as long as the part #'s for both modules are the same and the donor module is coming from a vehicle with the same type of transmission as your vehicle. For example, If your donor module has come from a vehicle with an automatic transmission and you have a manual transmission you will likely get EGS faults (no communication to transmission control module) which could turn the check engine light on. There is additional programming and variant changing that must be done within the donor module to tell it that the vehicle does not have an EGS (automatic transmission control module). This can be done with INPA or other BMW Engineering tools. If your DME cannot be cloned and you are unable to send the CAS, you will be refunded and your modules will be shipped back to you at your expense.
