Description: This is a rare October 23rd, 1961 "Playgoer" playbill from the one-week, National Tour engagement of the Pulitzer Prize winning JERRY BOCK and SHELDON HARNICK musical comedy "FIORELLO!" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The show opened November 23rd, 1959 at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City and ran for 795 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The musical starred BOB CARROLL as former New York City mayor "Fiorello H. La Guardia" and featured ARTHUR BARTOW, RUDY BOND, CHARLOTTE FAIRCHILD, PAUL LIPSON, JAYME MYRLROIE, JEN NELSON, ALAN NORTH and ROSEMARY O'REILLY ..... Side Note: "FIORELLO!" was the winner of six 1960 Tony Awards tieing "The Sound of Music" in four categories including "Best Musical" .....
