Description: A very good collectible RARE antique hardcover, volume 1, copyright 1866 and printed in 1867--appears to be a 1st edition; no tears, stains, or markings; the binding and text block are intact and secure, though there are some minor breaks between a few pages that do not go through; top edge of the text block is gilted; the cover of maroon boards and spine with clear, gilt lettering has some minor corner and spine edge wear, and minimal age soiling, but is, overall, in nice condition for a book from its time; there is some light foxing and tanning present but these do not inhibit the clear, readable pages.
