Description: Beautifully illustrated large size (~8 x 11.25 x 1.6") French-language book on insects by "the Buffon of Germany," A. E. Brehm. Although not specifically indicated on the title page, I believe this is Volume 2 based on the two stars on the spine. It covers ants, wasps, worms, and spiders. No date, but circa 1880s. Gilt-edged pages, premium silk-like endpapers, pebbled boards (I believe spine is leather, boards are cloth, but not certain). Very good. Rubbing on ends and edges of spine. Light discoloration spots on cover. Small piece of binding cloth hanging from bottom of spine. Binding tight. Interior clean, with no marks or foxing. See photos.
