The box features metal hinges that are in good shape. There is a small push button release on the front of the box that is in working order and still latches. The base has a soft felt surface. Something valuable could easily be stored inside this box. The inside portion where an item could be stored measures just over 3 inches by 3 inches and is just over 1.5 inches deep.
