It has high visibility, even across a room, and it's especially sparkly in sunlight or other direct light sources. Wow! It's made of Pure non-tarnishing 304 Stainless, but looks like expensive Sterling silver. Stainless is long lasting, and will not turn the skin colors, nor change colors itself. It will not rust or tarnish. You can sleep, swim or shower with it! MEASUREMENTS - The delicate oval Chain links are about 3mm wide x 3.7mm long x 0.5mm thick. Each link is soldered closed (which makes them nice and strong and smooth). The links are lightly flattened and polished which makes them super sparkly and glittering in the light. This beautiful chain is offered in your choice of any length, in either unfinished bulk or finished with a lobster clasp and closing rings. Standard lengths offered as choices but I can easily make any size custom or longer lengths of the chain for you by request. MADE TO ANY LENGTH I cut to length and finish these chains by hand as they are ordered, so I can make any length chain you want - bracelet, anklet, belt or necklace-- it's no problem. IMPORTANT NOTE ON SIZING 14" is normally tight choker size on women; 16" or 18" is choker length on boys and men - How it fits on YOU depends on your own neck size! A simple classic chain like this makes a nice gift that anyone would be delighted to receive. CONSTRUCTION Each link in my beautiful Stainless Chain is constructed of solid stainless steel. The links are lightly flattened and smoothed on all edges, then made into ovals soldered. This 4-step process makes a beautiful sparkling bright chain that is smooth on the skin. MATERIALS I make these by hand from pure 304 Stainless Steel; all of the components including the lobster clasps and connector rings are solid Stainless Steel. They are polished to shine and not plated or colored in any way. Stainless is popular because of its strength and long lasting beauty, it has very high corrosion resistance - think of your stainless steel forks, spoons and knives; you can literally wash them in the sink and let them set out to air dry and they will not rust, fade or tarnish. The difference between my stainless jewelry and your stainless steel pots, pans and eating utensils is the polish - stainless jewelry has been polished with a finer grit so it is more lustrous, reflective and shiny (which also makes it appear brighter and lighter in color.)
