Design Patent Applied For 7 is embossed on the bottom of the jar.Wonderful find this limited addition fruit jar made by the Brockway Machine Bottle Company of Brockway, Pennsylvania. The Sur-Grip fruit jars were only made for a short time, from April 1932 till the April of 1933. Brockway sold the rights and machinery to produce the Sur-Grip jar to the Ball Brothers (Ball Mason Jars) on April 27, 1933.These are truly a collectible fruit jar.
